sir i bought mxl 770 and scarlett solo recently and i am using adobe audition but iam not getting studio quality in output is really low and after mixing it sound very slow in headphones and distorted in speakers please tell me how should i mix?
Darren Ward 1 year ago
akshat bilgaiyan couple things: are any of your individual channels clipping? If so, GarageBand will squash those channels down when you export thus creating your low volume issue. Are you using the master track plugin tools to master your mix? I have good results using a couple compressors, EQ, and peak limiter on the master track to bring up and smooth out the output level before actually exporting.

I've been making music for years but just started recording,,I used GarageBand and I like it, but 599.99 for a program app,,,
Elaborate Press 1 year ago
Yes that was the main issue we discussed in another thread some time ago! Waves answered that the Silver bundle is now available in the subscription model per month (and quite cheaper in the sales seasons). I agreed the mix of a almost free app and some premium-cost plug-ins was a uncommon combination (referring to the video title) and so a user was joking about it. Therefor I have recommended to grab some single plug-ins you see in this clip or check out some beginner's bundles like the Waves Musician 2 or the Waves Native Power Pack that both features the basic tools (in the sales it starts at 39 dollars for Waves Musician 2.)

Idk if your still struggling, but I would suggest watching individual YouTube clips about the stuff he said. Example: “ How to EQ vocals”. Also don’t expect to be perfect in the beginning. You honestly don’t even know what you need until after you’ve trained your ears to pick up certain things.

i been learning garageband - protools n other programs for the past year now and feel im now ready to make my albumn / mixtape or anything i feel like doing. yea when i first started watching these vids on youtube i felt like you. i felt like i didnt understand shit. it takes awhile. alot of stuff to know about the music production

I hate when people bash garageband just because its $5. Like, dude, if garageband was $50, everyone would be lining up to say how good it is. Me personally, I use garageband for my home studio and it does everything I need it to do. No sense in me paying $100-200 for Protools when everything in garageband is simple and works.

I have a question for you guys. I have the CLA vocals plugin in garageband, but can't use it with my vocals track because the plug in is a stereo. If the vocal is usually a mono track, how can I use this plugin. Can you help?
Jus Had 1 year ago
lamarcy you just need to bus the mono audio to a stereo bus.

nice tips. I love garageband for it's simple platform. I have zero experience with music editing/mastering and musical engineering but garageband helped me figure it all out. Your tips absolutely worked for my vocals and I finally know what I need to do to get the sound I've always wanted! You rule. Please keep up the good work and make sure this video stays up so I can use it for reference. Thanks (:

Flyght Myleage 1 year ago
do you need these wave bundles? or can you use the stock plugins?
Elaborate Press 1 year ago
You just added another example for restrictive use of language if you just came to the point where logic takes to much attention and reading is just the same as interpretation for you. This is no channel for GB, this is not a video about how to make music with GB in general but about a particular Waves product, the Silver bundle using in GB. This thread was opened 20+ weeks ago and everything was said. Then a guy jumped into this again missing the point that this is not about some one was degrading GB in general but was making a joke about the disproportion of using a 600 dollar bundle and being fine with a (free) daw host for beginners. Apple does put GB on the market as the beginner version of Logic X, so no degrading at this point again. Waves did modify this disproportion when dropping the price down to 130 +- dollars in sale seasons. So this was already done. Then there are people who are pro musicians but new to computers or don't want a complex computer system or daw, so their musical skills can be captured easily with GB or Audacity or just a field recorder. No biggie! But in my opinion T-Pain is not a good example for a highly decorated musician and those kinda music was lost in my perception when I started to grow up. Even though this guy needs always an Auto-Tune effect, so if GB features this or he got his gear hooked up on to this, he can do everything for a mixtape track or what ever he wants. I don't care. I am using several Waves bundles / single plug-ins and will continue but the marketing contributions (in general not only on this channel) are not always my favorite clips, except for the engineers showing their signature series or explanation videos. Because the crowd commenting on this is basically the same like on channels featured on the YouTube start page (10 most shocking. / conspiracy theories / make-up tutorials / party and hot cars.) and no tech guys and audio engineers anymore. So I am not following this anymore since I realized this. But I get a message every time some one is writing on this thread though. If some one disagrees with those kinda trends even with coherent argumentation or humor and a friendly language there are 20 other people who love to provocate reactions.
Elaborate Press 1 year ago
You can easily use software like GB for a mixtape track and other stuff but you can't impress a grown up with some t-pain joints. You can re-record all miley cyrus and britney spears songs with Garage Band and they probably sound the same and hit the charts again. Justin Bieber made his first hit sitting in front of a web cam and playing 4 chords on a guitar but that's not the way I consume or play music.

Rappa Ternt Sanga by T Pain was done all on Garageband. I'm in love with a Stripper from the album went platinum.in 2005.

*DISCLAIMER**I AM NOT HATING**. I understand you're able to elaborate more on the mix with Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, etc.but don't be so snobby about Garageband.a DAW is a DAW when it comes down to it and we've all heard great mixes through Garageband lol.

What's that fad with singers sounding like they're sobbing all the time, nasal and breathy as hell? It was already old fifteen years ago when shakira was doing it so why is it still a thing?
Victory John 6 months ago
nice way to rebuttal. I didn't like her voice either but oh well
Pate Yate 8 months ago
I totally agree! I'm 66 and started playing drums with my dad on the nightclub circuit at age nine! The thing is that while there might have been some similarity in tonal qualities, it was the same, exact sounding whining singing that I seem to remember as far back as the early 1990s. It seems singers today are gravitating to a common timbre and even phrasing. I hope they start reaching for their own, unique sound. Oh, and to Chris Lawson: Eolas has every right as a music listener to make observations and yes, even post them!
Terry Grissom 9 months ago
That describes it exactly. I hate that stuff.
Norman Woods 1 year ago
Eolas familiarity. I would imagine the singer, shown here, was a child (or adolescent) when this vocal style was initially dominating the charts. As a result, she and an entire generation draw vocal inspiration from oughties bubblegum pop.
Cody L 2 years ago
Eolas maybe its what they're inspired by? Have you ever thought that maybe other people have different tastes in music?
